# Record driver licenses and certificates

Store driving license and ADR data on the driver, and add certificates such as Code 95 or training with their validity dates and documents.

Updated October 5, 2026

**Who can do this:** Access to drivers in your role.

Transportial keeps a driver's qualifications in two places: the driving license and ADR data are part of the driver form, and other qualifications such as Code 95, forklift or customer training are added as certificates.

## Driving license and ADR

1. Open the side menu (☰) and choose **Drivers**.
2. Click **Edit** on the driver's row.
3. Turn on **Drivers license**.
4. Fill in the **Driver's license number**, **Driver's license valid from date**, **Driver's license expiration date**, **Driving license obtained on date**, **Driving license country of issue** and **Driving license issuing authority**.
5. Turn on **ADR** and fill in the **ADR Number**, **ADR valid from date** and **ADR Expiration Date**.
6. Click **Save**.

Planners can then filter drivers on **Has ADR certificate** or **Has driver license**, for example in the bulk availability planner.

## Add a certificate

1. Open the driver and choose the **Certificates** tab.
2. Click **Create Certificate**. The driver is filled in under **Chauffeur**.
3. Enter a **Name** (required), for example "Code 95".
4. Optionally enter the **School**, **Title**, **Field of Study** and **Grade**.
5. Set the **Valid from** and **Valid until** dates. Leave **Valid until** empty for a certificate that does not expire.
6. Under **Documents**, upload a scan or photo of the certificate.
7. Add **Notes** if needed.
8. Click **Save**.

## View, edit and remove certificates

* The **Certificates** tab lists each certificate with its **Name**, **School**, **Grade**, **Field of Study** and **Valid until**, so you can spot certificates that are about to expire.
* Click a certificate to see its details, including **Valid from** and **Valid until**, its **Files** and notes.
* Click **Edit** to change it, or **Remove** and confirm to delete it.

The compliance check for expiring certificates only looks at certificates with a **Valid until** date. It raises a "Certificate expiring soon" alert for certificates that expire within the warning period your administrators set under the compliance settings.
