# Use the financial management dashboard

Compare actual and expected revenue and cost by category, business and day, and drill down to the individual entries.

Updated October 5, 2026

**Who can do this:** The Management platform feature and the management permission. Internal users only.

The **Financial** tab of the management view shows the revenue and cost booked on your trips and transport orders. It shows what has actually been booked next to what was expected, so you can see where results differ from the plan.

## Open the financial dashboard

1. Click the home icon in the header to open the dashboard.
2. Choose **Management** in the view selector at the top right.
3. Click the **Financial** tab.
4. Optionally choose an **Administration**.
5. Set the start and end date after **From**. By default the current month is shown. The period includes the whole end date.

The figures cover the bookings created in the period. There is no team filter here: the financial figures always include all teams.

## Key figures

* **Actual Revenue**, **Actual Cost** and **Net Profit** are marked **Actual**: the amounts that have been realized.
* **Expected Revenue**, **Expected Cost** and **Expected Result** are marked **Expected**: the amounts that were planned, for example from prices and quotes.
* Net Profit is green when positive and red when negative.

## Charts and tables

| Section | What it shows |
| ------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Revenue & Cost by Category** | Actual revenue and cost per pricing category, as bars. |
| **Revenue & Cost Trend** | Actual revenue and cost over the period, per day. For periods longer than about two months it switches to weeks. |
| **Expected vs Actual Variance** | Per category: expected and actual revenue and cost, and the difference in amount and percentage. Shown only when there are expected amounts. |
| **Top Businesses** | The eight businesses with the highest actual volume, with revenue, cost and net result. |

## Drill down to the entries

The **Entries** table at the bottom lets you find the individual bookings behind the totals.

1. Choose how to group the entries: **By Category**, **By Business** or **Combined**.
2. Click the name of a group to see all of its entries.
3. Or click a single amount to see only the entries of that type and state, for example only the actual revenue.
4. Click the name of a business in the list to open that business.
5. Click the trip or transport order in an entry to open the record it came from.
6. Click **Back** in the breadcrumb to return to the grouped table.

The table ends with a **Total** row and a **Result** row.

The dashboard reads every booking in the period, so a long period with many bookings can take a moment to load. Removed bookings are not counted. For payments and invoices, see [transactions](/en-us/help/transactions) and [invoices](/en-us/help/invoices).
