# Review and accept bids

Compare the bids on your tender, counter or decline them, and accept one with or without planning a trip.

Updated October 5, 2026

**Who can do this:** The Marketplace feature on your platform.

Once your tender is on the marketplace, bids come in. On the tender's **Overview** you see how many bids there are and the **Lowest Bid**. From the bid list you accept, decline or counter them.

## Open the bids

1. Open the **Marketplace** tab on the dashboard.
2. Click your tender and open its **Bids** tab. Or choose **Bids** in the tender's row actions.
3. Compare the **Company Name**, **Amount**, **Remark**, **Status** and **Made on** of each bid.
4. Click a bid to see its details.

## Bid statuses

| Status | Meaning |
| -------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Offered** | Placed and waiting for your decision. Bids placed in the app and counter bids get this status. |
| **Draft** | Saved but not yet offered. Bids from other systems can arrive as drafts. |
| **Accepted** | You accepted this bid. |
| **Declined** | You declined it, or answered it with a counter bid. |
| **Not chosen** | Another bid on the same tender was accepted. |

## Accept a bid and plan the trip

1. In the bid list, choose **Accept and plan** in the bid's row actions.
2. Read the summary: the amount, the company and the tender that will be closed.
3. Check the **Start date**. It defaults to the start of the pickup window.
4. Click **Accept and plan**.

The bid is accepted, all other bids that are still open (offered or draft) become **Not chosen**, the tender is closed and a trip is created for the tender's shipment, named after the tender. Plan that trip further as a forwarded trip. See [Forward a trip to a partner](/en-us/help/forward-trip-to-partner).

Accepting a bid cannot be undone. It closes the tender, settles all other open bids and withdraws the tender from your freight exchanges.

## Accept without planning

Choose **Accept** in the bid's row actions, or click the bid and click the **Accept** icon (checkmark).

The tender is closed in the same way, but no trip is created. Plan the shipment yourself afterwards.

## Decline or counter a bid

* Choose **Decline**, or click the bid and click the **Decline** icon (cross). The tender stays open for other bids.
* To propose another price, choose **Counter bid** in the bid's row actions. Enter the **Amount** and **Remarks** and click **Send**. The original bid is declined and your counter bid is added.

Settled bids (accepted, declined or not chosen) no longer show these actions.

On the trip plan board, drag a tender from the side search onto the board to accept its lowest bid and create the trip in one go. A tender without bids shows a message and nothing happens.
