# Send a trip to the driver

Get a trip onto the board computer, the OpenMove app or the driver's browser, and keep it in sync.

Updated October 4, 2026

Drivers can receive their trips in three ways: on the vehicle's board computer, in the OpenMove driver app, or through an execution link in a browser. In all cases the trip is handed over when you **confirm** it.

## Board computers

Transportial connects to board computer systems such as Transics, Webfleet, Mapon and Trimble through integrations. When a vehicle is linked to such an integration, a confirmed trip is sent to that vehicle's terminal as planning.

### Before you start

* The board computer integration is set up and active. See [Integrations](/en-us/help/integrations).
* The vehicle is linked to the integration. Vehicles imported by the integration are linked automatically. Board computers are listed under **Board computers** in the side menu. See [Board computers](/en-us/help/board-computers).

### Send the trip

1. Assign the linked vehicle to the trip.
2. Check the stops and their order.
3. Click **Confirm** in the trip panel, or right-click the trip and choose **Confirm**.
4. Check the integration logs to see that the planning was accepted.

After that, Transportial keeps the terminal up to date:

* Changes to a trip that is **Confirmed**, **In transit** or **Pending completion** are sent as updates.
* Canceling the trip removes its planning from the terminal.
* Trips that are still accepted, or already completed, are not sent.
* As the driver works through the planning, the integration reports progress back and the trip's actions are updated.

The exact moment and format depend on the connector. Most send on confirmation; some, such as Trimble, can work from the moment a trip is created. Check which triggers are active on your integration.

If the log says the vehicle's object number was not found, the vehicle is not linked to this integration. Re-import the vehicles from the integration or fix the vehicle's identifier, then confirm the trip again.

## OpenMove driver app

Drivers who use OpenMove see the trips they are assigned to in the app. Assign the driver, confirm the trip, and it appears in their list. See [Trips in OpenMove](/en-us/help/openmove-trips).

## Execution link

For a driver without the app or a board computer, for example a carrier's driver, share an execution link. Through it the driver can start the trip, complete actions, add photos and documents and end the trip in a browser.

1. Open the trip.
2. Click the **Share execution view** icon in the header. The link is copied.
3. Send the link to the driver, for example by text message.
4. Ask the driver to open the link on their phone and start the trip from there.

The execution link lets anyone who has it change the trip's progress. Only send it to the driver who executes the trip. For people who should only watch, use the **Share** link instead.
