# Use the customer portal

For customers: follow your orders and shipments, track them live, accept quotes, view invoices and documents, chat and request a new transport.

Updated October 4, 2026

**Who can do this:** A customer-portal account from your transportation company. Pages depend on what the company has switched on.

This article is for customers of a transportation company that uses Transportial. With a portal account you can follow your transports and handle quotes and invoices without phoning or e-mailing the planners. Your transportation company decides which pages you see, so some of the pages below may be missing.

## Overview

After you log in you see the **Overview**. It shows tiles for **Active Orders**, **Pending Quotes**, **Open Invoices** and **Total Orders**, an **Order Status Breakdown**, your **Active Shipments** with their pickup and delivery, and your **Recent Quotes**. Click a tile or **View all** to go to the full list.

## Follow your orders

1. Click **Orders** in the side bar.
2. Search with **Search orders...** or scroll the list. It shows the order reference, name, route, delivery conditions, number of shipments, status and creation date.
3. Click an order to open it.
4. Read the shipments with their locations, dates and goods (weight, dimensions, load meters).
5. Click **Download** next to a document to save it, or use **Track & Trace** to follow the order.
6. Click **Back** to return to the list.

**Live Tracking** shows your **Active Orders** on a map, with the trip of each order. **Watchtower** gives an overview of the progress of your transports.

## Request a new transport

1. Click **New Request**.
2. Under **General Information**, enter the **Order Name** (required), your **Reference** and a **Description**.
3. Under **Pickup**, search the **Pickup Location** and set the **Date & Time** and, if needed, the **Time Window End**.
4. Do the same under **Delivery**.
5. Under **Goods & Equipment**, describe each item: description, **Weight (kg)**, **Quantity**, length, width and height in cm, and tick **Hazardous goods (ADR)** if it applies. Click **Add Item** for more.
6. Add **Additional Notes** such as handling instructions.
7. Click **Submit Request**.

You see **Request Submitted!**. The transportation company reviews the request and you are notified. Choose **View My Orders** or **Create Another Request**.

## Accept or decline a quote

1. Click **Quotes**.
2. Click a quote with the status **Open**.
3. Check the lines. Lines marked **optional** can be ticked or unticked; the total updates.
4. Click **Accept** or **Decline**.

## Invoices, documents, chat and settings

* **Invoices**: your invoices with their expiration date, total and status, such as **Open**, **Paid** or **Too Late**. Click one to see the details and download the PDF.
* **Documents**: files shared with you, such as CMRs and delivery notes. Click a row to open the file.
* **Chat**: conversations with the planners about your shipments.
* **Notifications** and **Settings**: your notifications and personal preferences.

Cannot find an order or invoice? Your account only shows the companies the transportation company linked to it. Ask your contact there to check your access.
