OpenMove driver app

# View and start your trips

Find your trips in OpenMove, filter and search them, open a trip to see its stops, route and documents, and start or finish it.

Updated 4 October 2026

The **Trips** tab lists every trip your planner has assigned to you. From here you open a trip, start it, work through its stops and finish it when everything is done.

## The trips list

* At the top you see your current activity (for example **Status: Driving**). Tap it to change it; see [Record your activities](/en/help/openmove-activities).
* Below it are the filters **All**, **Future** and **Past**.
* Use **Search by keyword...** to find a trip by name or number. While you search, the filters are hidden; clear the search to get them back.
* If a trip is offered to you, it appears under **New trip offers**. See [Accept trip offers](/en/help/openmove-trip-offers).
* Trips are grouped under their status, with trips that are **In transit** first. Each row shows the trip number, the trip name, a coloured status label and the date.

Pull the list down to refresh it. Scroll to the bottom to load more trips. New trips and changes made by your planner appear automatically while the app is open.

## Open a trip

1. Tap a trip in the list. The trip opens with its number and status at the top.
2. Check the summary card: **Duration**, **Start Time**, **Distance** and **Vehicle**.
3. Use the tabs to switch between **Actions** (your stops and tasks), **Route** and **Documents**.
4. On **Route**, choose **Map** to see the route on a map or **Stops** to see the stops as a list, with the total distance and duration.
5. Tap the back arrow to return to the list.

## Start the trip

1. Open a trip with the status **Confirmed**.
2. Tap **Start Trip** at the bottom of the **Actions** tab. The trip moves to **In transit**.
3. Follow the button at the bottom: it changes to the next task, for example **Start Loading** and then **Complete Loading**. See [Execute a stop](/en/help/openmove-execute-a-stop).

A trip that is still **Requested** or **Accepted** has no start button for drivers. Your planner must confirm it first. Users with the administrator role see **Confirm Trip** instead.

## Finish the trip

1. Complete every task on every stop.
2. Tap **Finish Trip** at the bottom of the **Actions** tab.
3. Tap **Finish Trip** again in the confirmation. The trip becomes **Completed**.

You cannot undo finishing a trip. The **Finish Trip** button only appears if your account is allowed to update trips; otherwise your planner finishes the trip.

## Trip statuses

| Status | Meaning |
| -------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Draft**, **Requested**, **Accepted** | The trip is still being prepared or agreed by the office. |
| **Confirmed** | The trip is ready. You can start it. |
| **In transit** | You have started the trip and are working through the stops. |
| **Completed** | The trip is finished. |
| **Cancelled** | The office has cancelled the trip. Do not drive it. |
| **Modified** | The office has changed the trip. Check the stops again. |

The vehicle on the trip is set by your planner. If you drive a different truck, ask your planner to change it on the trip.
