How to use the map
- Region: search a city or pan the map to see every truck parking around it, nearest first.
- Route: enter where the trip starts and ends to list the parkings along it, in driving order, with the mile where each one is.
- Filters: only secured sites, a minimum number of truck spaces, or the facilities the driver needs.
- Click a parking for its capacity, facilities, security and, where published, live availability.

Frequently asked questions
What does the truck parking map show?
Truck parking locations in the 27 EU countries and the United Kingdom: highway rest areas, truck stops and secured truck parks. Where it is known, each site shows the number of truck spaces, its facilities (showers, toilets, restaurant, fuel, EV charging) and its security features.
Is there a shortage of truck parking in Europe?
Yes. Recent EU research puts the shortage at around 390,000 safe and secure truck parking spaces, rising to about 483,000 by 2040. Many sites are full in the evening, which is why it pays to plan the night stop before the trip starts.
How do I find secured truck parking?
Switch on "Secured or certified only" in the filters. The map then shows certified secure parkings and sites that are fenced and guarded or camera-monitored. Always check the operator's own information before relying on it for high-value loads.
Can I see all truck parking along my route?
Yes. Open the Route tab, enter the start and end of the trip (and up to a few via points) and choose how far from the road a parking may be. The list shows every match in driving order, with the mile along the route and how far it is off the road.
Is the availability live?
For sites that publish their occupancy, the map shows a live badge with the free spaces, refreshed every minute. For all other sites only the static data is available: capacity, facilities and security.
Why is the capacity missing for some sites?
Not every site publishes how many trucks it can take. Those sites are still on the map, so you know a parking exists there, but check on site or with the operator for the number of spaces.
Can I use these parkings in my planning software?
Yes. Transportial imports the parkings of a country as locations, with their capacity, facilities and security, so planners can add breaks and night stops to trips and drivers see them in the app.
