What does a 3PL need from a TMS?
A 3PL needs a TMS that runs many clients on shared infrastructure: separate data and rules per client, client-specific pricing and reporting, integrations with each client's ERP or WMS and often the client's own branding. Transportial offers this as a multi-tenant platform with white-label tenancy, a rule-based pricing engine and an integration framework.
Logistics service providers sell the same operation to many shippers, each with its own contract, rates, systems and reporting requirements. Transportial was built as a multi-tenant SaaS, so a 3PL can give every client an isolated environment with separate data, users and configuration. The white-label layer puts the client's or the provider's logo, colors and domain on the platform, while SAML 2.0 single sign-on, two-factor authentication and named permissions control what each user can see and do. The pricing engine applies per-client, per-lane and per-volume tariffs with surcharges, and invoices are generated from completed work. Client systems connect through a documented REST API, EDI parsing, an embedded FTP server and webhooks. Dashboards built on TQL, Transportial's query language, produce the operational and financial figures a client review asks for, including CO₂ emissions per trip and lane for sustainability reporting.
