Bid on a tender
Offer your price for a tender on the marketplace, or respond to a freight exchange posting on its own board.
Updated October 5, 2026
As a carrier you win work by bidding on tenders. How you bid depends on where the tender comes from: tenders on Transportial get a bid directly in the app, and postings imported from a freight exchange are answered on that exchange.
Place a bid
- Open the Marketplace tab on the dashboard.
- Click the tender to open its Overview, and check the lane, time windows, load and Client Budget.
- Click Place bid. It appears on open tenders of other companies. You can also choose Place bid in the tender's row actions.
- Choose the Administration you bid from.
- Enter your price in Amount and choose the currency.
- Add Remarks, for example the equipment you would use or when you can load.
- Click Send. It is only enabled once you enter an amount.
Your bid is sent with the status Offered. It appears on the tender's Bids tab, and the bid count on the tender goes up. If yours is the cheapest, it becomes the tender's Lowest Bid.
Respond to a freight exchange posting
Tenders whose Source is a freight exchange were imported from that board. You answer them on the board itself.
- Open the tender.
- Click Open on followed by the board name, for example Open on Timocom.
- Log in to the exchange if asked.
- Contact the shipper or place your bid on the exchange.
Not every exchange publishes a link to its postings. When there is none, the Open on button is not shown.
Follow up on your bid
- Accepted: you won the work. The shipper plans it; you receive the booking through your agreed channel.
- Not chosen: another bid was accepted.
- Declined: your bid was declined. If the shipper countered, a new bid with their price appears in the list.
