Compare sensor readings between vehicles
Plot one sensor, such as fuel level or temperature, for several vehicles in one chart over a period you choose.
Updated October 4, 2026
With Compare vehicles in the Fleet FMS view you can put the readings of one sensor for several vehicles in a single line chart. This helps you spot a vehicle that uses more fuel, a trailer that runs warmer than the others, or a battery that drains faster.
Compare vehicles
- Open the dashboard and click the Fleet FMS tab.
- Click the Compare vehicles sub-tab.
- Add the vehicles you want to compare in Add a vehicle…. You can pick several of your own vehicles.
- Choose the sensor in Select sensor. Only sensor types that the selected vehicles have are listed.
- Choose the period in the calendar. By default it runs from yesterday 00:00 to today 23:59.
- Choose the resolution, from Per minute to Per week. The default is Per hour.
- Choose how readings are combined per step: Average, Minimum, Maximum or Number of readings.
- Click Compare.
The Compare button stays disabled until at least one selected vehicle has the chosen sensor and the period is set.
Read the chart
- Each vehicle gets its own line and an entry in the legend.
- The unit of the sensor is shown on the vertical axis.
- Vehicles that do not have the chosen sensor are left out of the chart.
- If there is nothing to show, you see No readings in this period.
To change the vehicles, sensor or period, click Reset and fill in the form again.
Use a coarser resolution, such as Per 6 hours or Per day, for long periods. The chart stays readable and loads faster.
