Configure the interface, labels and translations
Hide or require fields, color planboard rows, add map layers, decide how filters are remembered, rename labels and translate chat messages for everyone.
Updated October 4, 2026
The UI Settings, Platform Label Configuration and Chat sections of the platform settings shape what every user sees. Use them to simplify forms, make important fields mandatory and use your company's own words.
Open the sections
- Open the side menu (☰, top right) and choose Settings.
- Click the Environment tab.
- Open UI Settings, Platform Label Configuration or Chat.
- Change the settings and click Save at the bottom of the page.
UI Settings
- Hidden Fields: fields nobody on the platform sees. Settings groups and users can hide more fields on top of these.
- Required fields and Validation rules: fields that must be filled in, and your own checks on form input.
- Planboard icons & colors: rules that color rows or show icons on planboards when a condition matches, for example a red row for an urgent order.
- Map layers: add extra base maps (for example with Add PTV vector map or Add map layer), mark one as Primary to load first, and choose the Overlays enabled by default, such as traffic or truck restrictions. The built-in maps always stay available.
- Make it mandatory to verify companies and Validate addresses with Google Maps: extra checks on businesses and addresses.
- Show a “Load all” button on planboards and planners: lets planners load all vehicles, drivers or trailers at once. Limit it with Roles that get the “Load all” button and set Rows per request while loading all. It is off by default because it is a heavy request with a large fleet.
- Remember filters: Per view keeps separate filters for each table and board; Per entity (shared across views) shares one filter set across every view of the same kind, for example all vehicle views. Users can override this in their own interface settings.
- Onboarding banner: Automatic (show until set up), Always show or Never show the setup banner on the dashboard.
- Setup wizard: click Open wizard to continue the setup wizard, or Restart setup to start again from step one. Restarting only clears the wizard's answers; everything it created is kept.
Platform Label Configuration
Here you change the texts of the app and set up automatic translation.
- Choose a language in Language.
- Click Download … Labels to get the current labels of that language as a file, if you want to work on them offline.
- In the editor, change the texts you want to replace, for example "Consignment" to "Shipment".
- Repeat for the other languages your users work in.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page.
For chat translation, switch on Automatically translate chat messages and choose the Translation provider (DeepL or Google Cloud Translation). Reuse previous translations translates each message once instead of paying again every time it is read. Set a Monthly character limit to cap costs (0 means no limit); the usage summary shows how much of it you have used.
Chat
- Share read status across all users (consignment, vehicle & driver chats): when one colleague reads a message in these chats, it counts as read for everyone.
- Count status messages as unread and Hide status messages in chats by default: how automatic status messages behave in chats.
