Set region, units and time zones
Choose units, currency, number, date and time formats and the time zone for your platform, how stop times are shown, and personal overrides per user.
Updated October 4, 2026
Who can do this: Platform region: role level 1000 or higher. Personal region: every user.
Transportial is used around the world. The region settings decide how distances, weights, money, dates and times are shown. The platform has a region for everyone, and each user can override it for themselves.
Set the platform region
- Open the side menu (☰, top right), choose Settings and click the Environment tab.
- Open the Region section.
- Under Apply a region preset, click your country, for example Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom or United States. All fields are filled in for that country.
- Adjust single fields if needed (see below).
- Check the Preview, which shows a sample distance, weight, amount and date in the chosen formats.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page.
The fields
| Field | Options |
|---|---|
| Units | Metric (mi, kg, m³, L) or Imperial (mi, lb, ft³, gal). |
| Currency | The default currency for prices and amounts. |
| Number & currency format | How numbers and amounts are written, for example 1.234,50 or 1,234.50. |
| Date format | For example DD-MM-YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY. |
| Time format | 24-hour (14:30) or 12-hour (2:30 PM). |
| Time zone | The default time zone, for example Europe/Amsterdam. An old fixed offset is marked "fixed offset — pick a time zone"; replace it with a real time zone so summer time is handled. |
| Show stop times in | The stop's local time zone (a 08:00 delivery in Chicago shows as 08:00 everywhere) or The viewer's time zone (converted to each user's own time). Platform only. |
If you plan transport across time zones, choose The stop's local time zone. Time windows then match what your customers agreed with the receiving location.
Set your own region
- Open Settings. The General tab opens.
- Go to Region & formats.
- For each field, choose a value, or Platform default to follow the platform.
- Check the Preview.
- Click Update.
Personal values only affect what you see. Everyone else keeps their own or the platform's settings.
