Download a document from a template
Turn a transport order, shipment or trip into a PDF with one of your document templates, for one record or many at once.

Who can do this: Permission for document templates.
Once your document templates are set up, you can produce a PDF from them wherever you work with orders, shipments and trips.
Download for one order, shipment or trip
- Open the transport order, shipment or trip.
- Click the notebook icon (tooltip Download from template). In a list, you can also right-click the row and choose Download from Template.
- Choose a template in Select Template. Each template shows its document type.
- Click Download PDF.
The file is named after the template and the record, for example the template name followed by the order name.
Download for several records at once
- In the transport orders list, tick the orders you need. On the plan board, select the trips.
- Click Download from Template in the selection bar.
- Choose the template in Select Template.
- Click Download PDF. You get one PDF with a page set for every selected record.
If something goes wrong
- If no template list appears, there is no template with the matching entity type yet. Create one under Document Templates. See Create and manage document templates.
- If you see Could not build the document. Please try again., try again. If it keeps failing, open the template in the designer and check it with Preview.
- If fields print empty, the binding in the template does not match the data. Check it in the Data tab of the designer.
Transportial always uses the latest saved data of the record, also when you start from a list or board that only shows a few columns.
