Use order templates
Save a transport order as a reusable template and create new orders from it in one click.
Updated October 4, 2026
Many customers order the same transport again and again: the same route, the same goods, the same price. Save such an order as a template once, and create the next order from it in seconds.
Save an order as a template
- Open the transport orders list.
- Find the order you want to reuse.
- Choose Save as template in the row actions.
- The Order templates list opens, with the new template at the top.
The template keeps the customer, shipments, goods, actions, cost elements and quote lines. It leaves out everything that belongs only to the original order: numbers, statuses, times, documents, invoices, administration, expected revenue and costs, and identifiers. The original order does not change.
Create an order from a template
- Open the transport orders list.
- Click + from template at the top.
- Search for the template in Search.... The list shows the Order name, Order description and Made on date.
- Choose Use template in the row actions.
- The new order opens in Update order. Set the dates and times of the stops and adjust anything else.
- Click Save.
Use template creates the order immediately, before the edit form opens. If you close the form without saving, the order still exists. Cancel it if you do not need it.
For a one-off copy, use Duplicate instead. See Edit, duplicate, cancel or remove a transport order.
Good to know
- Templates are blueprints, not orders to carry out. They do not appear in the transport orders list, and you do not plan them. Plan the orders you create from them instead.
- Give templates a clear name, such as the customer and the route, so you can find them quickly in Order templates.
- To change a template, create an order from it, adjust that order and save it as a new template with Save as template.
- If you do not see + from template or Save as template, order templates are not switched on for your platform. Ask your administrator.
