Transportial vs MendriX
MendriX, based in Maarssen and formed in 2004 from MendriX ICT (1999) and Global Data Exchange, is a cloud TMS for road transport such as groupage, courier, building materials, ADR and temperature-controlled freight. It offers a graphical plan board with PTV routing, live vehicle tracking via Trimble, Webfleet, Transics and others, invoicing, a driver app, a cross-dock app, a customer portal and an API with webhooks. It suits Dutch road carriers who want a mature, integration-rich system. Transportial differs with a VRP solver available today, multimodal orders, an OTM5 data model and published pricing.

How Transportial differs from MendriX
Optimisation solver available today
Transportial’s VRP solver assigns orders to vehicles by capacity, time windows, vehicle type and EU driving-time rules, next to the drag-and-drop plan board. MendriX announced automatic planning for release 2026.4, first for pilot customers and without automatic driver planning.
Road, sea, air and rail
Transportial handles road, sea, air and rail orders and trips in one platform, so forwarding and multimodal moves share the road planning data. MendriX presents its TMS for road-transport segments.
Built on the OTM5 data model
Transportial’s data model follows OTM5, the Dutch open standard for trips and consignments, which simplifies exchange with OTM-capable partners. MendriX does not mention OTM on its public site and is not on the opentripmodel.org adopter list.
Published prices, free Starter tier
Transportial publishes its prices: per transaction from €0.50 down to €0.01 with volume, plus fees for users or vehicles beyond the free allowance, and a free Starter tier. MendriX lists an Economy package at €129; other packages are on request.
