Planning is not a single screen. It is the planboard on one monitor, the trip you are building on another, a chat with a driver, and an alert that cannot wait until you next look at a browser tab. The desktop client gives all of that the space it needs, and tells you when something happens even when the window is closed.
What the desktop client adds
- Native notifications: New chat messages and alerts arrive as real system notifications. Clicking one opens exactly that trip or conversation in the window you already have open.
- Detachable windows: Pop the planboard, the map planner or a trip out into its own window and put it on a second screen. Every view can be detached.
- Tray and unread badge: Close the window and the app keeps running. Unread chats and alerts show as a count on the dock or taskbar, with quick links in the tray menu.
- Links open in the app: A trip link in an e-mail opens straight in the desktop client, already signed in, on the right screen.
- Survives sleep: Close the lid at the depot, open it at the office. The client notices the machine woke, refreshes the session and reconnects on its own.
- Updates itself: New versions download in the background and install when you choose to restart. Never in the middle of a dispatch.
Same platform, same security
The desktop client is a hardened shell around the platform you already use. It is code-signed and notarised by Apple, keeps navigation locked to your own environment, opens external links in your normal browser, and stores nothing beyond your local preferences. Your data stays exactly where it is today.
