Record your activities
Tell the office whether you are driving, working, available or resting, and record your odometer reading, from OpenMove.
Updated October 4, 2026
Your activity tells the planner what you are doing right now: driving, working, available for a new job or resting. Planners use it to see who they can plan and to keep track of your working time. Your latest activity is shown at the top of the Trips tab and at the top of every trip.
Change your activity
- Tap the activity bar at the top of the Trips tab or a trip. It reads Record your chauffeur activity the first time, and for example Status: Driving after that, with Update on the right.
- In Add Activity, choose the Activity Type: Rest, Driving, Available or Work.
- Optionally, enter the odometer reading of your vehicle in Odometer (mi).
- Optionally, add a Description.
- Optionally, add Remarks.
- Tap Save Activity. You see Activity updated successfully! and the activity bar shows your new status.
Activity types
| Type | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Driving | You are behind the wheel. |
| Work | You are doing other work, such as loading, unloading or paperwork. |
| Available | You are on duty and ready for a job, or waiting. |
| Rest | You are on a break or your rest period. |
In regions that use miles, the odometer field is Odometer (mi) and you enter miles. Only whole numbers are accepted.
Good to know
- Saving an activity needs an internet connection. If saving fails, try again when you have signal.
- Your planner sees your activities on your driver record in the Transportial web app. See Driver activities.
- If your truck has a board computer or tachograph connection, the office may also receive your activities from there. The activity you record in OpenMove does not replace your tachograph.
