OpenMove driver app

Share your location

Allow OpenMove to use your location so the planner can follow your trip, calculate ETAs and offer you nearby work.

Updated October 4, 2026

While you are logged in and OpenMove is open, the app sends your position to Transportial about every 30 seconds. Your planner sees it on the map, ETAs for your stops are based on it, and it decides which drivers receive a nearby trip offer.

Allow location access

OpenMove asks for permission the first time it needs your location. If you said no, change it in your phone's settings:

  1. Open your phone's Settings.
  2. Find OpenMove in the list of apps.
  3. Open Location.
  4. Choose to allow location access while using the app (or always, if your company asks you to).
  5. Make sure location services are switched on for the whole phone.
  6. Open OpenMove again.

When your location is not shared

  • Location services are switched off on the phone, or OpenMove is not allowed to use them.
  • You have no internet connection. Positions are not stored to send later.
  • OpenMove is closed, or you have signed out.

If your company also receives positions from the truck's board computer, the planner may follow the truck from there as well.

What your planner sees

  • Your latest position on the map in the Transportial web app, so they can follow the trip live. See Track a trip live.
  • ETAs for your next stops, based on where you are.
  • Whether you are close enough to receive a nearby trip offer. See Accept trip offers.

Sharing your location also helps you: planners can see that you are close to a stop and update the customer, so you get fewer phone calls on the road.
