Who can do this: A Transportial user account that is linked to a driver record.

OpenMove is the Transportial app for drivers. It shows the trips your planner assigns to you, lets you work through each stop, collect proof of delivery, record your activities and chat with the office. This article explains how to get started.

Before you start

  • Your company must create a user for you in the Transportial web app and link it to your driver record. Ask your planner for the email address (or username) and password to use. See Invite a driver to OpenMove.
  • You need a smartphone with an internet connection and location services.

Install the app

  1. Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) on your phone.
  2. Search for OpenMove, or open the download link your company sent you.
  3. Tap install and wait until the app is on your home screen.

  1. Open OpenMove. The Welcome screen asks you to enter your details.
  2. Optionally, choose your language with the language selector at the top right.
  3. Enter your email address or username in Email and tap Next.
  4. Enter your Password and tap Next.
  5. If two-factor authentication is switched on for your account, the 2-step verification screen opens. Open your authentication app, such as Google Authenticator, enter the 6-digit code in Enter Code and tap Sign in.
  6. When the app asks for permission to use your location, allow it. Your planner uses your position to follow the trip.

OpenMove remembers your login once the code is accepted. The next time you open the app, you go straight to your trips until you sign out.

  • If the code is wrong, you see That code is not valid. Try again with the current code from your app. Enter the code your app shows now.
  • After several wrong codes, you see That code is not valid. For your security, please sign in again. and return to the password step. Enter your password again to get new tries.
  • Lost the phone with your authentication app? Log in to the Transportial web app with one of your recovery codes. That switches two-factor authentication off, so you can log in to OpenMove again. See Log in and keep your account secure.

To switch two-factor authentication on or off yourself, see Manage your account and settings.

If another driver used this phone before you and some of their updates were not sent yet, OpenMove warns you with Unsent updates after you log in. Tap Sign in anyway to continue (their unsent updates are deleted), or Cancel so they can sign in again and send them first.

Forgot your password? Tap Forgot your password?, enter your email address and tap Recover my account. If your address is known, you receive an email with a link to create a new password. Tap Back to login to return to the login screen.

Find your way around

After you log in, the bar at the bottom of the screen gives you these tabs. They are shown as icons; touch and hold an icon to see its name.
