Shippeo integration
Receive Shippeo transport orders as orders and send milestones, ETAs, positions and proof of delivery back — or track subcontracted Trips in all modes through Shippeo.
What is Shippeo?
Shippeo is a Paris-based real-time transportation visibility platform. Shippers and logistics service providers use it to follow their shipments with live status and predictive ETAs, while the carriers that move the freight share their progress with it.
What syncs between Shippeo and Transportial
- Into Transportial
Chartered transport orders → transport orders
As a carrier, the transport orders a shipper charters to you on Shippeo arrive automatically in Transportial as transport orders. If you switch it on, each Shippeo tour is planned as one Trip.
- Into Transportial
Changes and cancellations
When the shipper modifies or cancels an order in Shippeo, the transport order in Transportial is updated or cancelled — including partial updates to a tour.
- To Shippeo
Milestones and vehicle pairing
Arrival, loaded, departure and delivered are reported to Shippeo, as are refusals with their reason. The truck and trailer plates are sent as the vehicle pairing.
- To Shippeo
ETAs and GPS positions
Transportial sends its own ETAs and the GPS positions of the vehicle, so the shipper sees live status in Shippeo without the driver using another app.
- To Shippeo
Proof of delivery
Signatures and documents collected at the stop are sent to Shippeo as proof-of-delivery files.
- To Shippeo
Subcontracted Trips → Shippeo
As a shipper or forwarder, the Trips you subcontract — by road, ocean, air or rail — are sent to Shippeo for tracking.
- Into Transportial
Tracking back on the Trip
Shippeo’s milestones, predictive ETAs, GPS positions and proof-of-delivery files flow back onto the subcontracted Trip and its stops.
How to connect Shippeo
Get OAuth2 client credentials from Shippeo — for the test environment, the production environment, or both.
Enter the client credentials in the Shippeo integration in Transportial and choose the environment.
Set the shared secret that Shippeo sends as a header when it calls Transportial, so only Shippeo can deliver orders and updates to your account.
Switch on the flows you need. Every flow — orders in, milestones, ETAs, positions, proof of delivery, tracking of subcontracted Trips — can be switched on or off per integration.
Typical use case
A road carrier drives for a shipper that follows its freight in Shippeo. The charters no longer have to be retyped from a portal: they arrive as transport orders, and optionally as one Trip per tour. While the driver works through the stops in Transportial, milestones, ETAs, positions and the signed proof of delivery reach Shippeo — the shipper sees live status and the driver never opens a second app.
A forwarder subcontracts ocean, air and road legs to partners. By sending those Trips to Shippeo, milestones, predictive ETAs, positions and PODs land on the forwarder’s own Trips and stops in Transportial, next to the rest of its planning.
Frequently asked questions
Do my drivers need the Shippeo app?
No. Milestones, ETAs, GPS positions and proof of delivery are sent from Transportial, so drivers keep working in the Transportial driver app.
What happens when a shipper changes or cancels an order in Shippeo?
The matching transport order in Transportial is updated or cancelled automatically. Partial updates to a tour are processed as well.
Can I use the integration as a shipper or forwarder?
Yes. Subcontracted Trips in every mode — road, ocean, air and rail — are sent to Shippeo for tracking, and Shippeo’s milestones, predictive ETAs, GPS positions and PODs come back onto the Trip and its stops.
Can I choose which data is exchanged with Shippeo?
Yes. Every flow can be switched on or off per integration — for example, receive orders and send milestones without tracking your own subcontracted Trips.
