What syncs between CLdN and Transportial
- To CLdN
New bookings
A ferry booking created in Transportial is sent to CLdN with your reference, port of loading, port of discharge, sailing date, shipper (name, VAT and EORI number), each trailer with its plate, gross weight and length, and the bill of lading number where applicable.

Changes and cancellations
Changes are sent as an update to the same booking; cancelling the booking in Transportial cancels it at CLdN.

Booking number
CLdN’s booking reference is saved on the booking in Transportial, which is then marked as submitted.
How to connect CLdN
Request an API key for CLdN’s freight booking API.
Add the CLdN integration in Transportial with that key.
Fill in port of loading, port of discharge and the planned departure on the order; creating the booking sends it to CLdN.
Typical use case
A haulier ships unaccompanied trailers from Zeebrugge and Rotterdam to the UK. The crossing is booked from the same order as the road legs, so trailer, weight and dates are never typed twice, and changes or cancellations reach CLdN straight away.
Frequently asked questions
Can I book CLdN crossings from Transportial?
Yes. Bookings are created, changed and cancelled through CLdN’s freight booking API, and CLdN’s booking number is saved in Transportial.
Which cargo units are supported?
Trailers — each booking carries one or more trailers with licence plate, gross weight and length.
Do sailing schedules, prices or ETA updates come back from CLdN?
No. Only the booking reference comes back; schedules, rates and sailing status are not part of the integration.
