What is Exact Online?
Exact Online is cloud accounting and ERP software from Exact, a Dutch company based in Delft, used by small and medium-sized businesses and their accountants.
What syncs between Exact Online and Transportial

Sales and purchase invoices
Invoices are booked in Exact Online either as sales or purchase invoices (with an item per pricing category) or as entries in the sales or purchase journal, together with the invoice PDF and attachments. Purchase invoices are sent once approved, and later changes to an invoice are synced too.

Quotes
Quotes are created as Exact Online quotations with their lines, VAT codes and validity date.

Customers and suppliers
New relations are created as Exact accounts with VAT and Chamber of Commerce number, address and contact details — after first checking for an existing account on Chamber of Commerce number or name.

Payment status
Every four hours, open invoices are checked; once Exact shows an invoice as paid, it is marked paid in Transportial with a payment record.

Open sales orders or goods deliveries in Exact can be imported every hour as transport orders, with goods, customer and addresses.

Administrations, VAT codes and GL accounts
Each Exact division becomes an administration in Transportial, and its VAT codes and GL accounts are imported so invoice lines book to the right account.
How to connect Exact Online
Authorise Transportial in Exact Online (OAuth) with a user that has access to the right administrations.
Transportial imports your divisions, VAT codes and GL accounts.
Link pricing categories to GL accounts and choose how invoices are booked: as invoices or as journal entries.
Optionally switch on sales-order import and payment status.
Typical use case
A transport company invoices a few hundred orders a month from Transportial. Invoices arrive in Exact Online on the right GL accounts with the PDF attached, finance no longer retypes them, and planners see in Transportial which customers have paid.

Yes. Invoices, quotes and relations go to Exact Online; payment status, sales orders or goods deliveries, VAT codes and GL accounts come back into Transportial.
Can invoices be booked as journal entries instead of invoices?
Yes. You choose per integration: as sales or purchase invoices with items, or as entries in the sales or purchase journal.
Does it support multiple administrations?
Yes. Every Exact Online division the authorised user can access is imported as its own administration in Transportial.
