Samskip’s XML transport instructions are picked up every five minutes and become transport orders: booking number, container number, ISO type and seal, cargo lines with weight and dangerous goods (ADR) codes, and every stop — empty pick-up, collection, delivery and drop-off — with address, time window and remarks.

A resent instruction updates the existing order (matched on the Samskip booking ID) instead of creating a duplicate; a cancellation cancels the order.

While a trip for a Samskip booking is being driven, the truck’s GPS positions are sent to Samskip with the booking reference.

Arriving at and leaving each stop is reported to Samskip with the stop sequence and coordinates.
