Connect an AI assistant to Transportial

Let an AI assistant or tool work in Transportial on your behalf, choose what it may do, and disconnect it from your security settings.

Updated 4 October 2026

Who can do this: Connected apps must be enabled for your platform.

AI assistants and other tools can connect to Transportial so you can ask them to look up or change data for you, for example "which trips are late today?". The tool works as you: it can never do more than your own user can, and you choose whether it may only view data or also change it.

Before you start

  • Connected apps must be switched on for your platform. If they are not, the connection screen says so; ask your administrator.
  • Start the connection from the AI assistant or tool itself, following its instructions for adding a connector. Developers find the connection details in the developer documentation.

Approve the connection

  1. Start connecting Transportial in the AI assistant or tool.
  2. When the Transportial page opens, log in if you are asked to.
  3. Check the name in Connect … and the explanation below it. Only continue if you started this connection yourself.
  4. Under Platform, choose the platform the tool may work in. Platforms where connected apps are not enabled cannot be chosen.
  5. Under Access, choose View data, Create, change and delete data, or both.
  6. Click Allow. You return to the tool, which can now use Transportial. Click Deny to refuse.

The name shown on the connection page is provided by the app itself. Only connect apps you trust and that you started connecting yourself.

See and disconnect your connected apps

  1. Open the side menu (☰, top right) and choose Settings.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Under Connected apps, find the app. Each one shows its platform, the access you gave and when it was Last used.
  4. Click Disconnect to remove its access straight away.

If you see No connected apps., no tool has access on your behalf.

Connected apps or API access?

A connected app acts as a person and follows that person's permissions. For a system that should run on its own, without a user, create an API access integration instead. See Give a partner API access.
