Integrations & automation

Set up a preset integration

Connect a supported system with a ready-made connector: choose the system and its functions, enter the login details and set the schedule.

Updated 4 October 2026

Who can do this: Role level 800 or higher and the integration permission.

A preset integration is a connector Transportial already knows how to talk to, such as a board computer system, an accounting package or a mail server. You only tell it where the system is, how to log in and which functions to run. The list of systems depends on what is available for your platform.

Before you start

  • Get the address (URL) of the other system and your login details from that system or your supplier: a username and password, an API key, a key and secret, or an account you authorise with.
  • Check which data you want to exchange, for example positions, activities, planning or invoices.

Create the integration

  1. Open the side menu (☰, top right), choose Integrations and click + Create integration.
  2. Enter a Name, for example the name of the system.
  3. In Select integration type, choose Preset integration.
  4. In Select Implemented Integration, choose the system. Its default values are filled in.
  5. In the second selection box, choose the functions to run. Each option shows a short description of what it does, for example fetching positions or sending trips.
  6. Set the schedule: choose a unit (seconds, Minutes, Hours or Days) and enter a value, for example every 5 minutes.
  7. Check the URL and Port of the system. The port is 443 unless your supplier tells you otherwise.
  8. In Select login method, choose how to log in and fill in the fields (see below).
  9. Set Off/On to on and click Save.

Login methods

Only the methods the chosen system supports are offered.

MethodWhat you enter
BasicUsername and Password.
API KeysThe API Key the system gave you.
Access & secret keyAn access key and a Secret key.
Bearer TokenA token from the other system.
HeadersOne or more header names and values. Click Add header for each one.
Authorisation with an accountSome systems use a sign-in page instead of a password. Click Authorize, sign in at the other system and allow access. You return to Transportial when it is done.

Connector options

Some connectors show an Options section below the login details. These are extra settings the connector accepts, such as which data to include. Each option shows what the integration does today. If you leave an option as it is, the connector keeps its own default. When an option only matters for certain functions, it says so ("Only applies when enabled: …").

Run on a cron schedule

For more control, choose Cron as the schedule unit. Enter a Cron expression with five fields (minute, hour, day of month, month, day of week) and a Timezone. For example, 0 6 * * 1-5 runs on weekdays at 06:00. Below the fields, Next runs shows when the integration will run, so you can check the expression.

Messaging connectors

For connectors that receive messages (for example chat or messaging services), the form shows an Inbound webhook URL. Copy it and enter it at the provider as the webhook for incoming messages. Messages that arrive there are routed into chats in Transportial.

Your platform's outgoing email also uses a preset integration. After you set up an SMTP or Exchange integration, an administrator selects it in the General section of the platform settings. See Configure your environment.

Check that it works

Open the integration from the list and look at the Logs and Requests tabs after the first scheduled run. See Monitor an integration.
