Monitor consignments with Watchtower

Watchtower is the control tower view of your consignments. Every row is a consignment with its status, current location, next and last stop and ETA, plus the trips that carry it. The list updates live as trips progress.

Open Watchtower

1. Click the home icon (Dashboard) in the header.
2. Click the Watchtower tab.
3. Optionally click Open in new window to show Watchtower full screen, for example on a wall screen.

The header shows how many consignments are loaded of the total, and when the list was last updated. More rows load as you scroll down.

Find consignments

• Search... searches by team, ID, name, number or company name.
• Select teams and Select company limit the list to teams and customers.
• Filters opens more filters: status, next and last stop date ranges, creation and update date, administration, and location filters such as Current location within radius of and Find in corridor.
• Sort orders by relevance, next or last stop ETA, time-window dates, zip code, city or country.

By default the list shows consignments that are confirmed, planned, in transit, partly planned, partially completed, partly underway or require replanning. Add Completed in the status filter to see finished work. Your filters and sort are remembered.

Choose columns

1. Click Columns.
2. Tick the fields you want, at consignment level (order reference, customer, current location, ETA, next and last action, load metres, weight, ADR and more) and at trip level (trip status, vehicle, drivers, next stop ETA, distance and more).
3. Drag fields to change their order.
4. Close the panel. Drag a column edge in the table to change its width.

Expected turnover and costs are only visible with access to financial data.

Table or cards

Watchtower shows a table or cards, depending on Table Types under Settings > User interface.

• Table: click a consignment to open it, or a trip to open the trip. Click column headers to sort.
• Dynamic (cards): two dots show the consignment status and the plan status of its latest trip (OK, Too early, Too late, Off route or Not planned). Click the chevron to show the trips. Right-click a card for Open, Edit, Print CMR, Plan, Split into Trips and Documents.

Under Settings in the toolbar, Only first label and Show labels control how labels are shown.

Act from Watchtower

• Click Create (+) to enter a new transport order. See Create a transport order.
• Click Bulk Trip Planner to split many consignments into legs. See Bulk trip planner.
• Click Download to export the list with your columns to Excel.
