OpenMove is Transportial's native mobile app for drivers. It puts the full trip plan in the driver's pocket, guides them step by step through every action, captures proof of delivery, and keeps the operations centre informed of every move, all without radio calls or paper.

How it works

  1. Trip lands on the phone

    The moment a dispatcher assigns a trip, the driver gets a push notification with the full plan: stops, time windows, cargo details, and customer instructions. No printouts, no reading addresses over the phone.

  2. Guided stop by stop

    The app walks the driver through each action in order — load, unload, customs clearance, weighing, refuelling. The driver always knows what is next and what is expected at the current stop.

  3. Reality gets recorded

    Breaks, waiting time, and unplanned events are added from the app as they happen. Each action is confirmed as done, partly done, or not possible, with remarks — so exceptions are captured at the kerb, not reconstructed days later.

  4. Proof of delivery on the spot

    At delivery, the driver captures photos and a customer signature. The ePOD is attached to the transport order instantly, so the office can invoice the moment the wheels start turning again.

  5. Office stays in sync

    Location broadcasts feed the Watchtower and customer tracking links, and in-app chat keeps the conversation with dispatch tied to the trip. When connectivity drops, the app keeps working and syncs once the network returns.

From radio calls and paper to a guided workflow

The execution gap is where transport operations lose most of their data: the plan lives in the office, but reality happens in the cab. When drivers work from printed trip sheets and phone calls, every deviation — a closed dock, a partial unload, an extra pallet — exists only in someone's memory until it is typed in after the fact, if it ever is.

OpenMove closes that gap by making the driver's phone the execution interface. Each action on the trip is presented in sequence with the information the driver needs at that moment: address, time window, cargo lines, handling instructions, reference codes. Confirming an action takes one tap; deviations take one tap more. The transport order in the office reflects the street within seconds.

The practical effect is fewer calls in both directions. Drivers stop calling to ask what is next; dispatchers stop calling to ask where things stand. Both sides read the same live state.

ePOD: invoice the same day, dispute with evidence

A signed CMR sitting in a truck cabin for a week is working capital sitting still. Until the proof of delivery reaches the office, the order cannot be invoiced, and when a customer disputes a delivery months later, finding the right piece of paper becomes an archaeology project.

With OpenMove, photos and signatures are captured at the point of delivery and attached to the transport order immediately. Invoicing can start the same day, and every delivery carries timestamped, geo-located evidence. Damage claims and "we never received it" conversations change character entirely when the photo, the signature, and the GPS position are one click away.

Built for patchy networks

Loading docks, underground terminals, and rural motorways are exactly where connectivity fails and exactly where drivers need the app most. An app that blocks on a spinner at the dock gets abandoned within a week, and the operation slides back to phone calls.

OpenMove keeps core trip functionality available offline: the driver can view stops, confirm actions, and capture proof of delivery without a connection. Everything queues locally and syncs to the platform when the network returns, with the office seeing the actual timestamps of when events happened.

Technical details

OpenMove is built with Flutter for native performance on both iOS and Android. Location updates are sent over a persistent WebSocket connection backed by Socket.IO. Push notifications are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
