Use the operational management dashboard
Follow profit, distance, empty kilometres and on-time performance for a period, filtered by administration and team.
Updated 5 October 2026
The management view of the dashboard gives managers an overview of how the business is running. It has two tabs: Operational, described here, and Financial, described in Use the financial management dashboard.
Open the management view
- Click the home icon in the header to open the dashboard.
- Open the view selector at the top right (it normally says Planning).
- Choose Management. The Operational tab opens.
The Management option only appears when your platform has the Management feature and your role has the management permission.
Set the filters
- Choose an administration in Administration, or clear it to include all.
- Choose one or more teams in Select teams to see only their trips, or leave it empty for all teams.
- Set the start and end date after From. By default the current calendar month is shown.
The figures reload as soon as you change a filter. The period includes the whole end date, and the end date must be on or after the start date. The Administration and Select teams boxes only offer existing entries.
Key figures
The row of cards at the top shows the figures for the selected period. Distances are shown in kilometres or miles, depending on your region settings.
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Net Profit | Revenue minus cost. Green when zero or positive, red when negative. |
| Net Profit per Trip | Net profit divided by the number of trips. |
| Total Kilometers / Total Empty Distance | All distance driven, and the part driven without load. |
| Empty Kilometers % | The share of empty distance, compared with the previous period. |
| Average Kilometers per Vehicle | Distance per vehicle, compared with the previous period. |
| Rate per Kilometer | Revenue per kilometre, compared with the previous period. |
| Total Consignments / Total Trips | The number of consignments and trips in the period. |
| On-time Rate | The share of trips that were on time or completed. Green from 80%, yellow from 60%, red below. |
| Loaded % | The share of distance driven with load, with the same colours. |
The "previous period" is the period of the same length just before the dates you selected.
Trip Distance chart
This bar chart shows the loaded and empty distance of all vehicles in the period you selected, with the same Administration and team filters. Each bar stacks the loaded part on the empty part, so together they make the total distance driven.
- Choose the bar size with Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Quarterly. The chart picks a size that fits the period: days for up to a month, weeks for up to three months, months for up to two years, and quarters for longer periods.
- Click Empty or Loaded in the legend to hide or show that part.
- Hover over a bar to see its dates and totals.
Trip Tracking & Discrepancies
This donut chart splits the trips in the period by status: Completed, On Time, At Risk and Late. Click a status in the legend to hide it. Click a segment of the chart to open the trip plan board with the same period and status already filtered, so you can see which trips are involved.
Financial Insights
At the bottom you see Actual Revenue, Actual Cost, Net Profit and Expected Result for the period. For more detail, open the Financial tab.
You can place the Operational and Financial dashboards on your own dashboard next to other views. See Build your own dashboard.
