Customers increasingly expect self-service visibility. Transportial's customer portal gives shippers and receivers their own scoped access to track shipments, submit transport orders, accept quotes, and manage their account, reducing inbound calls and emails.

Customer portal order view with a five-step track and trace progress bar from requested to realised, and shipment stop details with locations and timestamps
Customers follow every order from request to delivery, self-service.

Key highlights

  • Scoped customer accounts: External customer users only see their own shipments, invoices, and orders, never data from other customers. Scoped access is enforced at the API level.
  • Live tracking without login: Generate a secure, shareable public tracking link for any shipment. Customers can follow their delivery in real time from any device.
  • Customer-facing order submission: Give customers a portal to submit transport requests directly. Orders arrive in your planning backlog ready to be assigned.
  • Quote acceptance flows: Send customers a quote via the portal. They can accept, reject, or counter, all within Transportial. Accepted quotes convert to orders automatically.
  • Invoice visibility: Customers can view and download their invoices directly from the portal, reducing inbound queries about outstanding payments.
  • White-label ready: The customer portal inherits the branding of your white-label deployment: your logo, colours, and domain.

How it works

  1. Invite your customers

Give shippers and receivers scoped portal accounts. Each customer sees only their own orders, quotes and invoices; the scoping is enforced at the API level.

  2. Orders come in structured

Customers submit transport requests through a guided form with locations, time windows, goods, weights and dimensions. The request lands in your planning backlog ready to be assigned, with no re-typing.

  3. Quotes are settled online

Send a quote to the portal and the customer accepts, rejects or counters there. An accepted quote converts into an order automatically.

  4. Progress is self-service

Track and trace shows each order's progress from requested to realised, with stop-level detail. For ad-hoc sharing, a secure public tracking link works without any login.

  5. Embed it on your site

Portal functions are available as embeddable widgets, including order request forms, track and trace and quote requests, styled to your brand on your own domain.

Order intake without the re-typing

The classic order intake flow is a customer emailing a half-complete request, an operator re-typing it into the TMS, and a follow-up call for the missing details. Every order costs two people time, and every re-typing step is a chance to introduce an error that surfaces at a loading dock.

The portal replaces that with structured self-service intake. The customer enters locations, time windows, goods, quantities, weights and dimensions in a guided form; validation happens at the source, where the knowledge is. The request arrives in your backlog as a complete, plannable order. Your team's involvement starts at planning, not at data entry.

Visibility customers do not have to ask for

Shippers increasingly expect parcel-style visibility for freight. The portal gives each customer a live view of their orders: current status on a track-and-trace timeline, stop-level details with timestamps, and their quotes and invoices in the same place. Because access is scoped per customer, they see everything about their own shipments and nothing about anyone else's.

For recipients or partners who should not need an account, a secure public tracking link shares a single shipment's live progress with anyone, on any device. Both run on the same live data that powers your own Watchtower, so the customer and your dispatcher are always looking at the same truth.

Your brand, your website

A portal only reduces friction if customers actually use it, and they use what looks and feels like yours. The portal inherits your white-label branding: logo, colours and domain. For deeper integration, individual functions are available as embeddable widgets: put a quote request form, an order intake form or track and trace directly on your own website, with allowed-domain controls and custom styling.

For your customers the result is one branded experience from request to delivery; for you it is fewer phone calls, cleaner orders and a service level that is hard for a fax-and-phone competitor to match.

Frequently asked questions

Can customers track shipments without creating an account?

Yes. Every shipment can generate a secure public tracking link that works on any device without a login. Full portal accounts add order history, quotes, invoices and order submission on top.

What exactly can a portal customer see?

Only their own data: their orders with live status, their quotes, and their invoices. Scoping is enforced at the API level, so one customer can never see another customer's shipments.

Can customers submit orders through the portal?

Yes. The request form captures locations, time windows, goods, weights, dimensions and instructions. Submitted requests arrive in your planning backlog as complete orders, ready to accept, quote or plan.

Can I put portal functions on my own website?

Yes. Widgets for order requests, quote requests, track and trace, interactive maps and more can be embedded on your own site, restricted to allowed domains and styled with custom CSS.

Does the portal carry my branding?

Yes. The portal follows your white-label configuration: your logo, colours and domain, so customers experience it as your platform rather than a third-party tool.
