Transport orders

Add consignments and goods

Split an order into consignments and describe the goods and means of transport of each consignment, including dangerous goods (ADR).

Updated 4 October 2026

A consignment is one shipment within a transport order: goods that travel together from pickup to delivery. An order has at least one consignment. Each consignment has its own stops (actions), goods and means of transport, and can be planned on its own trip.

Add a consignment

  1. In the order form, go to Consignments. The first consignment, Consignment #1, is already there.
  2. Click + Add consignment to add another one.
  3. Click a consignment card to open it, if it opens in its own panel.
  4. Enter a Name, for example Shipment-2024-001.
  5. Choose the type in Select consignment type.... A type can fill in default values and hide fields that do not apply.
  6. Optionally choose a team, add a description, switch on attribute checkmarks and attach documents.
  7. Add the stops under Actions. See Add loading, unloading and other actions.
  8. Add the goods and means of transport, described below.
  9. Click Save to close the consignment panel, then save the order.
  • Click the duplicate icon on a consignment to add a copy of it, for example for a second identical load.
  • Click × to remove a consignment. The first consignment cannot be removed.
  • Switch on Is combined transport to enter the Original physical shipper location, Original legal sender location, Original physical recipient location and Original legal recipient location. The legal sender and recipient are used on the CMR.
  • Under Limitations, click + Add restriction to set requirements such as a vehicle type, weight, size, fuel type or emission standard. Mark each one as Enforced or Preferred.
  • Use Remarks for instructions about the consignment.

Add goods

  1. In the consignment, go to Goods and click + Add goods.
  2. Open the new Goods # card.
  3. Fill in the fields under General and Dimensions & capacity.
  4. Switch on Dangerous Road Agreement (ADR) for dangerous goods, and High value goods when it applies.
  5. Click Save.

Dangerous goods (ADR)

When Dangerous Road Agreement (ADR) is on, an ADR section appears. Enter the UN Number: Transportial looks it up and fills in the description, class, Classification code, Packing group, Hazard group and Tunnelcode. If several entries match, you see Multiple ADR entries match this UN number — pick the correct variant. You can also mark the goods as Environmentally hazardous or Waste, and add a Technical name.

Add means of transport

Under Means of transport, click + Add means of transport to describe a container, trailer or other equipment that travels with the consignment. Choose the type in Select means of transport type and enter details such as Equipment ID, License Plate, Seal, dimensions and Maximum Weight. Goods can be placed inside a means of transport.

Goods and means of transport can have their own actions, for example when one pallet is unloaded at a different address. In the flat form type, goods and means of transport share one Goods section.
