Read action results
See how each task of a trip went: done, partly done or not able to do, with the reason, remarks, board computer answers and differences found.
Updated 7 October 2026
Every task a driver completes, such as loading or unloading, gets a result. It tells whether the task went as planned and, if not, why. The driver records it in OpenMove, on the board computer or in the shared execution view, usually by answering your action result questionnaire.
Find the result of a task
- Open the trip and go to the Information or Actions tab.
- Find the task in the list of stops. A completed task has a result block under its details.
- Read the coloured label and the lines below it (see the next section).
The same action cards, with their results, appear in the Actions section of a consignment and on the Actions tab of a location. The Action overview tab of a trip only shows the life cycle, not the result.
What a result shows
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Done | Carried out as planned. |
| Partly done | Only part was done, for example fewer pallets loaded. Counts as done. |
| Not able to do | Not carried out. The consignment is flagged for replanning. |
| Cancelled | Called off, usually reported by a board computer. |
| Cancelled - requires re-planning | Closed by Transportial after an earlier task of the consignment failed, so the work can be planned again. |
Below the label you can find:
- Remark: what the driver wrote, plus lines added by questions that append to the remark.
- Reason: why the task was not, or only partly, done.
- Questionnaire answers: each question the driver answered, with the answer.
- Photos and signatures: thumbnails labelled with their question. Click one to view it full size.
- Answers from the board computer: each question the driver answered on the board computer, with the answer, in the order given. Hover over a question to see its code.
- Differences: a line such as Difference seal: reported "A123", current "A124" means the driver reported a different value than the order holds. The order is not changed; check which value is right and correct the order if needed.
Photos taken with Add photo in the execution view, files added with Add document, and questionnaire photos your administrator sends to the task's documents appear in the documents of the action card.
What happens after a failed task
When a task is completed as Not able to do, or with a new date the receiver asked for, Transportial closes the consignment's remaining tasks on that trip, flags the consignment for replanning, notifies the order's team managers and opens a planning exception. See Status life cycles and Handle planning exceptions.
Record a result yourself
Planners do not normally fill in results, but you can when a driver forgot:
- One task. On a trip in transit, open the options menu of the task, choose Make current and then Complete. Choose the Result, add a Reason and Remarks, and click Complete.
- All remaining tasks. Open the trip's options menu (three dots) and choose Complete all actions. Enter the Start time and End time, choose the Result (Done, Partly done or Not able to do), add a Reason and Remarks, and click Complete all. The result applies to every remaining task.
- With the questionnaire. Click the Share execution view icon on the trip to copy its link, open it in your browser and complete the task there. This asks the same questions as OpenMove.
When a differences line or a board computer answer needs follow-up every time, let a workflow or message automation react to the event After a questionnaire conflict. See Set up action result questionnaires.
