OpenMove driver app

Execute a trip from a shared link

Open a trip from the execution link your planner sends you and work through its stops, even without your own OpenMove account.

Updated 4 October 2026

Who can do this: An execution link for the trip, sent by the planner.

A planner can send a driver a link to execute one trip. This is useful for drivers of a subcontractor or for a stand-in driver who has no account on your platform. The link opens the trip in OpenMove (or in the browser) and lets you record progress on that trip only.

In the Transportial web app, the planner opens the trip and copies the driver execution link with the Share execution view icon (a person) among the trip's action icons. They then send it to you, for example by text message, email or WhatsApp. This is different from the follow-along link for customers, which is read-only.

Open the trip

  1. Install OpenMove first if you want to use the app (see Install OpenMove and log in).
  2. Tap the link you received on your phone.
  3. Choose to open it with OpenMove if your phone asks. Depending on your platform's settings, the link may open in your browser instead.
  4. Check the trip number and status at the top of the screen.

Work through the trip

  1. On the Actions tab, tap Start Trip when the trip is Confirmed.
  2. Start and complete each task as described in Execute a stop.
  3. Answer any questionnaire that appears.
  4. Add photos of signed paperwork on the Documents tab.

A shared link opens only this one trip. If you open it without being logged in, you see no trips list, chats or account, and there is no Finish Trip button: the planner finishes the trip in the web app when all tasks are done.

Anyone with the execution link can update the trip. Do not forward it to others.
