New features
Electronic consignment notes (eCMR)
Issue an eCMR per consignment and let the sender, carrier and consignee sign it digitally in the web app, in OpenMove or through a secure share link. Every amendment and reservation is recorded in a tamper-evident history and the sealed PDF can be exported; a TransFollow connector is available for those who exchange eCMRs there.
Peppol e-invoicing and UBL invoices
Register an administration on the Peppol network, send invoices as validated UBL e-invoices and receive supplier e-invoices straight into Transportial. Every invoice can also be downloaded as a UBL file.
Book and track DHL, UPS, FedEx, DPD and DSV shipments
Connect DHL Express, DHL Parcel, DHL Freight, UPS, FedEx, DPD or DSV with your own carrier account. DSV also books road, air, sea and rail freight. Consignments on a trip forwarded to the carrier are booked when you confirm it, with labels and tracking numbers on the consignment, and carrier milestones complete the pickup and delivery stops. Shipments booked elsewhere can be followed by adding their tracking number.
Two-way dock timeslot booking
Define docks and timeslots per location, let carriers book them through a public link, and book slots at your customers' docks from the trip. Requests, proposals and confirmations flow both ways, and the booked window can be applied to the stop automatically.
Maintenance plans, work orders and a pre-trip check
Plan maintenance by date, kilometers or engine hours, get alerts when it is due, and track the work in work orders that can block the vehicle in planning. Drivers can be asked to complete a start check in OpenMove before a trip starts, with failed checks visible to planners.
Demand forecast on the management dashboard
See expected demand for the coming weeks per modality, customer and lane, in consignments, weight, loading meters, volume or TEU, with an 80% likely range. The forecast is compared with your own assets and capacity contracts to flag periods where you may run short.
Cross-dock hubs and SSCC goods labels
Route consignments via a cross-dock hub with a minimum transfer time, and follow what is inbound, at the hub and departed, including connections that are too tight. Goods can be labeled with SSCC barcodes based on your GS1 company prefix.
A fuller email client with labels, rules and signatures
Connect Google or Microsoft mailboxes by signing in, write drafts, use rich signatures and share mailboxes with colleagues. Labels, priority rules and saved views help you sort mail, and an email can be turned into a transport order.
Connect AI assistants and a reworked App Store
Connect AI assistants to your Transportial data with a secure sign-in and consent screen. The App Store and developer portal were rebuilt: developers get their own sandbox, signed webhooks and app screens that appear inside Transportial.
Activity timeline with field-level changes
Transport orders, consignments, trips, quotes and invoices show who changed which field and when, including changes made by integrations, the API or the system. This makes it easy to trace why a time window, vehicle or price changed.
Invoices numbered and dated when you send them
Draft invoices no longer take a number, so deleted drafts leave no gaps: the next number and the invoice date are set the moment you send. Customer details are frozen on sent invoices, sent invoices are locked, and corrections go through credit and re-invoice. Accounting connections only receive invoices once they are sent.
Close accounting periods
Close revenue and cost periods per administration so nothing is booked into a closed month anymore; choose whether late items are refused or moved to the first open day.
Multiple currencies with exchange rates
Set a base currency per administration and work with automatic or manual exchange rates; invoices in another currency show the rate used.
US sales tax rules for freight invoices
Generate the tax rules for US freight from per-state data: only Hawaii's general excise tax and New Mexico's gross receipts tax go on the invoice, while interstate and cross-border transports stay untaxed. Missing state tax rates can be created for you.
Worldwide tax schemes and region codes
Tax rules now come from one scheme format for every country, with shared EU rules, rates that carry their effective date, trade blocs and ISO region codes such as US-TX. New taxContext facts let your own VAT rules check states, provinces, blocs and exemptions.
Combined tax rates (tax components)
A tax rate can now consist of several taxes, such as Canadian GST plus a provincial tax or a US state, county and city tax. Invoices, quotes and their PDFs show one tax row per rate and per component, and sent invoices keep their tax when a rate changes later.
Tax schemes for 36 countries
The tax rule generator now covers all 27 EU member states, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, Norway, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. Consignments marked as combined transport count as part of an international movement, so a domestic leg of an import or export can be zero-rated.
Customer tax registrations and exemptions
Record a business's extra VAT, GST or sales tax numbers per country or state, and a customer's exemption certificates with a valid-until date. While an exemption is valid for the departure state, the generated rules charge no tax.
Fuel tax reporting: IFTA and US distance taxes
Prepare the quarterly IFTA return and the Oregon, New York, Kentucky, New Mexico and Connecticut weight-distance taxes from GPS distance per jurisdiction and fuel purchases, with warnings, due dates, an Excel export and automatic mailing.
Fuel tax refunds and distance taxes outside the US
Calculate professional diesel refunds for Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Ireland, Portugal, Croatia, Romania and Australia, with eligibility, caps and related aids, and the distance taxes of New Zealand, Switzerland and Iceland.
Credit control and invoicing another party
Set a credit limit and status per customer and check them when orders are created, as a warning or a block that authorised users can override. Orders can be invoiced to a different party than the customer who placed them.
Recurring orders, order defaults and assignment rules
Create orders automatically from templates on a schedule, fill new orders with defaults per customer or location, and assign team, resources or carrier by rule. A duplicate warning catches orders that were entered twice, and orders or trips can be put on hold.
Document inbox and required documents
Received documents are classified and linked to the right order, consignment or trip automatically, with signatures detected and differences flagged. A traffic light shows which required documents are still missing, and can hold back invoicing until they are complete.
Validation rules and incidents
Write order checks in plain language that warn or block, and use them as a step in workflows. Incidents can be reported with follow-ups, and failed tasks can be retried or dismissed from one page.
Soft time windows, stop durations and one clear plan status
Mark windows as soft with an early and late tolerance, calculate stop durations from rules, and fix the arrival at one stop. Plan status now checks every time window, with a configurable tolerance and optionally opening hours, and shows too late in red and too early in blue across the planner.
Nearby orders and carrier compliance
Find orders near a trip that still fit its route and times. Carrier status and certificate requirements warn or block when a carrier is chosen, and past lane costs help you pick one.
Carrier portal and the Transportial network
Carriers get their own portal to follow the trips you give them, report driver and vehicle and share ETAs and documents. Orders can also be forwarded to a partner on another Transportial platform, who accepts them as a request, with status syncing back.
Improvements
Quote options, revisions and a recorded acceptance
Customers can accept or decline individual quote options, and quotes can be revised. Each acceptance is stored with the accepted terms and content so you have clear evidence of what was agreed, and you can make customer acceptance a requirement.
Incoming invoices: approvals, quote matching and credit notes
Incoming invoices are matched to the supplier's quote, duplicates are caught, and each approver sees what is waiting for them before an invoice can be booked as payable. Credit notes can now correct an existing invoice, and carriers can deliver invoices directly to a dedicated Transportial invoice address.
Edit trips directly from the planner
Right-click a trip on the planner to add stops, consignments or bookings, change or remove the vehicle and remove stops. Hovering a trip now shows a preview card with an optional route map, and stops at bookings respect a latest arrival time.
Redesigned trip list and bookings in OpenMove
The OpenMove trip list is grouped by date with filter chips for active, upcoming, past and cancelled trips, and loads faster. Drivers see booking stops, can scan goods, and location updates keep syncing in the background.
Faster setup and your own portal address
The setup wizard was rebuilt around your company profile, applying settings and message automations in one go. New companies choose their own portal address at sign-up, can resend their verification e-mail, and the customer portal now works well on phones.
High-value goods and combined transport at a glance
Consignments get a visible High value goods switch, and high-value goods and combined transport are shown as tags on transport orders, consignments and Trips.
VAT rules and accounting mapping by rule
Generate the VAT rules for your tax rates instead of setting them up by hand, and choose ledger accounts, VAT codes and dimensions with rules per customer, country, transport mode, pricing category or team.
More control in the customer portal
Customers can request changes or cancellations for you to approve, upload documents, approve extra charges and switch between companies. Order cut-off times are respected, and quotes and invoices can be viewed as received or sent.
Predefined roles
Fourteen ready-made roles, from planner and head planner to finance and carrier, cover all permissions, and every invited user now gets a role straight away.
Fixes
Portals and share links never show your costs
Customers, carriers and anyone with a share link see only what concerns them: never your costs, subcontractor prices, margins or credit information.
